WelcomeBellwether Hard Cider, located in the beautiful Finger Lakes
Region of Upstate New York, specializes in the production of hard cider, a new
“old” beverage that once reigned as our nation’s most popular drink. We use a wide variety of Upstate New York
apples to produce a range of carefully handcrafted, premium ciders. These ciders range from extremely dry
Champagne-style ciders, to a semi-dry non-sparkling ciders made with
traditional English and French cider apples and classic Upstate varieties, to
several lightly sparkling ciders that have some sweetness and refreshing apple
taste, and our distinctive Cherry
Street which is a lightly sparkling blend of apple
and tart cherry. Bellwether Hard Cider
is a member of the Cayuga Wine Trail.
FREQUENT BUYER CARD We're pleased to introduce our Frequent Buyer Card! These cards are available in our tasting room, the Ithaca Farmer's Market, and the New Amsterdam Market. Each time you buy a bottle at one of these locations, we will punch your card. Get 12 punches and receive a FREE bottle of cider! These cards are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers who stop in for just a bottle or two at a time, and therefore are only valid on purchases of 1-5 bottles. At this time we do not have a way of using the cards with our web orders.King Baldwin Featured in Bon Appetit Magazine! Bellwether's King Baldwin, a dry lightly sparkling cider made with local Tompkins King and Baldwin apples, is being featured in the October issue of Bon Appetit Magazine! After reviewing over 50 ciders, King Baldwin was chosen as one of their four favorites. We already knew it, but it sure is nice to have them agree. You can check out the article here.

Save Big with the Bellwether Case Club Can't get enough cider? Join the Bellwether Case Club and save every time you buy a case (12 bottles). To join, all you have to do is buy a case of cider (mixed cases included!). All future case purchases will receive a 20 % discount. To stay active, just purchase at least one case every year. Unfortunately our online shopping cart is not smart enough to recognize Case Club members, but don't worry! If you are a member, just write "Case Club" in the comments section. We will then verify your membership and manually enter your discount before we process your payment. When a case order comes in, we always check for membership to make sure you get your discount. Great cider, great discount. What could be better?!
Annual Cidermakers' Get Together Join us on Sunday, March 18th beginning at 3pm for our annual cidermakers' tasting and potluck. This event is free and open to all! Whether you're a seasoned professional, novice home cidermaker, or just a curious cider enthusiast, we'd love to have you. If you make cider, please bring a couple bottles to share with the group. We're interested in your finest bottles, your batch that went mysteriously wrong, or anything else you've got! If you've come across an interesting commercial brand, bring it along! This is a great event designed to celebrate and promote local cider culture. It's also the perfect opportunity to ask questions, and get feedback and advice from other cidermakers. Please bring your cider and a dish to pass (we need to soak up all the cider with something!). Event begins at 3pm and typically goes until about 6pm. See you there! Bellwether is on Facebook!
