Decades in the making, it's finally arrived! Local author, restaurateur and all-around foodie, Michael Turback has captured the flavor and spirit of one of Ithaca's most loved institutions. Recipes from vendors and much admired local chefs, illuminating photographs and fascinating stories help to explain why the Ithaca Farmer's Market has become a local and national treasure. Cherry Street is Back!!! Legacy back in time for New Year's Celebrations.....

We've been out of this fan favorite for too long, but now it is back. Deliciously tart Montmorency sour cherry juice is blended with hard cider as a sweet reserve to make for a terrific blend of apple and cherry flavors.

Bubbly fans rejoice because Legacy is finally ready to ship. We've been really patient with this newest release, waiting for the flavor profile to benefit from proper aging. This cider is the sparkling version of our Heritage. Both ciders are a blend of Old World traditional cider apples, grown locally in the Finger Lakes. We use the artisanal method of bottle-conditioning where a secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle to produce fine champagne style carbonation. Unlike the champagne method, we don't remove the sediment, which continues to promote aging and complexity.

New Amsterdam Market in NYC Welcomes Bellwether, Look for us in 2011!

Travel back in time to a market in the historic South Street Seaport area of Manhattan for a market that recalls the glory of the Fulton Market. Enjoy a dazzling variety of local foods and artisanal products, including Bellwether Hard Cider. We had a great season in fall of 2010 and are happy to be back in 2011. Come taste and buy our ciders at the beautiful Ithaca Farmers market. This market is a cooperative with 165 vendors who live within 30 miles of Ithaca, New York. Agricultural vendors grow and offer high quality fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, poultry and dairy products. Food vendors bring a wide variety of freshly baked goods, jellies, honey, and sauces as well as delicious meals to eat at the market.
